Stewart was hard to miss in what has been a very quiet week in Melbourne (where are all you guys hiding?).   In town from Hong Kong on a lightning visit to see friends, Stewart was busy falling in love with our Melbourne way of life.  Just as we were falling for his style and his sensational Dries Van Noten printed canvas derby's.   Stewart's style advice? "Don't think about it, just go with what you love".

We busted Melbourne brothers Jim & Tony on a little mid-week shopping spree yesterday and couldn't resist their infectious energy for style. The boys told us they are exploring their tastes and favourite labels - believe us when we say they were human encyclopedia's of cool.  Clearly both have a taste for quality footwear.  Jim is wearing a limited edition suede Roux derby by Loake Bros & Tony his favourite, a Common Projects polished binder derby.   Long Live Melbourne Style.

It's been an extremely mild Autumn in Melbourne, which has given us snappers a fantastic array of colours, texture and style.  We feel like we are witnessing the rise and rise the 'Australian Man' in fashion terms - equal parts attentive, indifferent and unique.  Pio just about summed up Autumn this week, spotted wearing a palatte of colour and style that has defined Autumn 2013.  Sure, the good shoes bring it all together, but the attention to detail is what makes it all so relaxed.

Vlad was photographed outside the Festival Of Steve - An event celebrating Melbourne's Modern Man that took part at The Kelvin Club last weekend. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a shot of his Florsheim by Duckie Brown beaded leather brogues. These grained black leather wingtip derby's feature a medallion toe and woven multicolor beading detail, finished on a leather sole.

We photographed Marlon at the launch of the new Monet exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria and he obviously has a creative spirit. His dark brown derby's were purchased on a trip to Japan.

We've been hearing about the Florsheim collaboration with Ducky Brown and looking forward to seeing the product on the street.  I know we all feast on new school footwear news, but when one of the old guard like Florsheim reinforces the quality ethic, turns it up a notch and brings in some fresh thinking from someone like Ducky Brown it's just good for everyone.  We caught Paul brightening up a beautiful Autumn Friday morning outside Neapoli in Russell Place and couldn't resist.

We stopped Paul as he was leaving The Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. A self confessed shoe fanatic, Paul completed his Continental style in a pair of Goodyear welted suede derby's from French label Finsbury.

After all the understated style we've been seeing lately we were stopped in our tracks by Ross' vintage vibe.  He may be a little young to remember the Buffalo look coming out of London in the late 1980's but with this combination of hat, shirt and Vanishing Elephants, Ross could have stepped straight out of the pages of iconic UK style magazine 'The Face'.

We nabbed Eugene as he was leaving cult cafe Brother Baba Budan in Little Bourke Street. Combining a pair of classic brown Carminas with a beautifully tailored windowpane suit by Melbourne tailor P. Johnson, Eugene's style is Melbourne Businesswear at its finest.
