We stopped Paul as he was leaving The Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. A self confessed shoe fanatic, Paul completed his Continental style in a pair of Goodyear welted suede derby's from French label Finsbury.
After all the understated style we've been seeing lately we were stopped in our tracks by Ross' vintage vibe. He may be a little young to remember the Buffalo look coming out of London in the late 1980's but with this combination of hat, shirt and Vanishing Elephants, Ross could have stepped straight out of the pages of iconic UK style magazine 'The Face'.
A couple of the Shoemakers team managed to get themselves to Europe for the winter trade shows this January. One of the highlights of the Capsule shows was the 'return' of Mark McNairy footwear. Taking a little bit of Sweeney, a little bit of Thom Browne, McNairy managed to take his already unique footwear style to a whole new level. Look out for it at Sole Devotion Melbourne www.soledevotion.com in the months ahead.
We nabbed Eugene as he was leaving cult cafe Brother Baba Budan in Little Bourke Street. Combining a pair of classic brown Carminas with a beautifully tailored windowpane suit by Melbourne tailor P. Johnson, Eugene's style is Melbourne Businesswear at its finest.
